I focus on working with patients to manage and reduce anxiety, depression and stress.  This involves both strengthening the muscles for tolerating uncomfortable feelings and learning healthier more effective behaviors and coping skills.  

In my extensive work with disordered eating and alcohol and substance use, I have found that the combination of exploring and working through the root causes of these issues while at the same time building practical skills leads to long-lasting behavioral changes. It is clear to me that working with these issues necessitates a solution that treats the whole person and this is reflected in all aspects of my work.
